Hello! I’m Dr. Kristina Rivers. Since graduating from the Texas A&M Baylor College of Dentistry in 2008, I have dedicated my career to serving the oral health needs of my community with compassion and clinical excellence. I know that for many, sitting in a dental chair can be a source of anxiety. That is why I prioritize a gentle touch and take the time to explain the 'why' behind every procedure, ensuring you are an empowered partner in your own healthcare.
Education & Expertise
I am a proud Texan, born and raised in Arlington. My journey in healthcare began at the University of Texas at Arlington, where I earned my Bachelor of Science in 2004, followed by my Doctorate in Dental Surgery (DDS). To provide the best possible care, I stay current with the latest dental technologies—including laser treatments, same-day crowns, CBCT digital imaging, digital scanning, and Invisalign—to make your visits as efficient and comfortable as possible.

When I’m not at the practice, my life revolves around my family. My husband (a scientist at Texas A&M) and I stay busy keeping up with our two young hockey players and our dog, Ellie. Hello! I’m Dr. Mary Ta. I am thrilled to be a part of the team at Rivers Family Dentistry. My interest in dentistry began with a desire to combine science, artistry, and community service. I find nothing more rewarding than helping a patient regain their confidence through a healthy smile. I pride myself on being a lifelong learner, constantly seeking out the latest advancements in dental techniques to ensure my patients receive the highest standard of modern care.
Education & Clinical Excellence
I earned my Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) at Nova Southeastern University College of Dental Medicine in Fort Lauderdale, FL. My education provided me with a rigorous foundation in all aspects of general and cosmetic dentistry. I am a firm believer in the power of preventive education—helping you understand how to care for your oral health at home is just as important to me as the work I do in the office.

Ana Vargas
Front Office Coordinator
Ana was born in McAllen and moved to Bryan at the age of 3. Her first job was in the dental field and 18 years later, it still ignites her passion to care for patients. She has 4 active boys that keep her busy with sports. Ana also enjoys working out, trying new restaurants, spending time with family, and making people smile.
Kumiko Loehr
Dental Hygienist
Kumi was born and raised in Okinawa, Japan. She received her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene from Southern University of Shreveport, Louisiana. She loves meeting new people and is passionate about making her patients as comfortable as possible while educating them on the ways they can improve their oral health. Kumi enjoys exploring new places with her husband and two girls.
Jessica Spears
Operations Manager/Dental Assistant
Jessica grew up in Elgin, Texas and received her Registered Dental Assistant license in March 2018. She married into the Aggie family in 2019 (Whoop!). Jessica says that the best part of her job is seeing a smile on a patient's face and knowing she helped put it there.
Angela Snell
Dental Assistant
Angela was born and raised in Chicago, moved to Texas at age 15, and has over 12 years of experience as a dental assistant. Shortly after arriving in Texas, she met her high school sweetheart, and they were married in 2017. Angela is bilingual, and when not working, she loves to travel with her husband, spend time with her family and dogs Rizzo & Chai, garden, and bake.

Astrid was born and raised in Bryan, Texas, is bilingual, and has been a Registered Dental Assistant since 2015. She really enjoys helping people regain their smile and confidence. She is happily married with two children and two stepchildren, who she loves and spends most of her time with.
Chasidy Holsinger
Dental Assistant
Chasidy was born and raised in Magnolia, Texas, and moved to Bryan 2 years ago. She is very excited to learn and grow in her new career as a Dental Assistant. She is also a busy mom with 3 active kids, and when not working, she enjoys the outdoors and making memories with her kids and family.
